Kitchen Redos

They are often high on the wish list.  This kitchen was gutted and put back together with completely sustainable materials and construction practices.  The cabinets are made of Lyptus wood, a fast growing hardwood that looks like cherry.  The interior of the cabinets are made out of xxx and there is no formaldehyde to off gas.  The floor is click marmoleum, a great product that is inexpensive and sustainable.  The appliances are all energy star rated and the new windows go a long way to keeping energy in the house.  The backsplash tiles are simple ceramic pieces, not a recycled content tile but not an environmentally harmful product.  The tile and the paint pull together the kitchen colors and follow through to the dining room.
