Bathroom Renovations

Perhaps no other room in a house is as utilitarian and yet still has a powerful effect on the psyche.  It’s your first stop when you wake up, the last stop at the end of the day.  Let’s face it, an outdated, grungy bathroom doesn’t make you feel clean.

This bathroom needed some reconfiguration and basic material changes.  We rotated the shower/tub to fit perfectly within the width of the bathroom, freeing up space along the long wall to add a nice size vanity and 2nd floor washer and dryer.  We replaced the wall paper (why would you cover a high moisture area with paper, can you say mold?) with large porcelain tiles to chair rail height that carried through to the tub area and became the shower tile to the ceiling.  An inexpensive basic white and red tile on the floor became playful with a creative installation pattern.
