Outdoors Rooms

In this climate, the outdoor space can be another three season room.  Whether for gardening, cooking, or playing, the exterior can be designed just as a house.

G Street: For this project, the beautiful fence became the wall that was “painted” with wisteria and roses.  The brick floor was divided into areas by adding a raised planting bed and using a beautiful old tree to define space.

Terrace:  We carved out the terrace from the hillside, using the 1790 log shed and ancient black walnuts to define the space.  The stones echo the foundation and chimneys of the existing main cabin and the canopy of trees provide much needed shade in the hot summers.

South Carolina Garden:  This was a narrow lot with an undefined entrance.  The brick path anchors the new garden with focal points defined by a mulched path, and object of art, and a mounded planted bed.
