With a corner lot, there was potential to get light into the basement and create a lovely living and working space. We converted an unused garage space under the main floor into a bedroom, added a full bathroom, kitchen, and living area to create a light filled flat. With the generous space left over at the front of the house, we added a lovely office (flexible space if needed) and a half bath. The traditional hot water and furnace space hogs where minimized with a ducted mini split hanging from the ceiling in a closet and a combined on-demand hot water and radiant heat system that hangs on the closet wall.
